One of my not-so-guilty pleasures is reading the blog of Kelly Rae Roberts, a Portland-based mixed media artist. Today I listened to Episode 3 of her “Possibilitarian Podcast” in which she talks about (among other things) the time when she had lots of “big papers” filling her studio walls.

Those big papers were full of Kelly’s ideas for future projects, her passion project wish list so to speak. Every time she had an idea for something to do with her business, she would add it to the big papers. Eventually she started to hire people to help her do certain pieces of her business, in order to free up her time to start tackling the big passion projects that she was dreaming of.

I think we all have “big paper” ideas, whether they be front and centre on our walls, tucked away in electronic files or scribbled notes, or just batting around in the foreground or edges of our brains. It was a good reminder for me to keep revisiting my big ideas lists to see what I can act upon soon. What are on yours?
