Workshop Facilitation
Learn design and facilitation skills with us
We design and facilitate workshops that help your staff or volunteers strengthen their learning design and facilitation skills in both in-person and virtual environments. We craft each workshop with care, creating space for deep engagement, meaningful growth, and practical skill-building. We often draw on—and teach—activities such as Liberating Structures to make meetings and learning events more inclusive, participatory, and fun. We design custom sessions and learning series around your group’s needs, so the length, format, and focus can fit what you want participants to learn and practice.
Beth recently offered a workshop series to help Victoria Hospice staff strengthen their learning design and facilitation skills in both in-person and virtual environments. The series included one full-day in-person workshop followed by three interactive virtual sessions.
Together, Beth and the participants explored what makes a learning experience purposeful, inclusive, and engaging. They reflected on their beliefs about learning, considered their facilitator presence, discussed core facilitation skills, and explored strategies for accessibility, inclusion, plain language, and meaningful participant engagement.
The series also introduced participants to participatory methods such as Liberating Structures, while helping them think practically about designing sessions, using virtual tools, creating effective slide decks, responding to common facilitation challenges, and gathering feedback to support ongoing growth in their facilitation practice.
“Beth brought a wealth of skill, experience, humour, relationality, and preparedness to the blended model facilitation skills workshop she facilitated for our organization over several weeks. Our team learned so much through her engaging approach, and it’s been so inspiring to see the transformation they’ve gone through. We have already seen the impact of Beth’s workshop series on how our team facilitates meetings and education sessions: people who participated are shifting from reliance on slide decks and lectures to interactive, well-designed sessions. We would highly recommend working with Beth to improve your team’s session design and facilitation skills through her highly effective offerings.”
