Creating learning experiences that truly engage participants is a challenge many organizations face. Our workshops are highly interactive and built on the principle that participants bring valuable knowledge and experiences to the table. Rather than present content, we facilitate sessions which include meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and discovery. And we have a lot of fun doing it! As facilitators—not trainers or presenters—our goal is to guide your group through a shared learning experience, drawing out insights and contributions from everyone involved.
When it comes to virtual workshops, we prefer Zoom Meetings as our platform of choice. Features like breakout rooms, live closed captioning, and a robust chat function help us create dynamic and inclusive environments that keep participants engaged. We also use tools like Mural and Google Slides to help some groups collaborate more effectively.
Preparation is a big part of what makes our workshops effective. Before the session, we collaborate with you to set expectations, conduct pre-session surveys to better understand your group’s needs, share any pre-work suggestions, and ensure participants have everything they need to fully engage. We also invite people to let us know if there’s anything we can do to make the session more accessible or supportive for them. During the session itself, we model effective facilitation practices, starting with an optional early login period—a practice we call the “start before the start”—for informal conversation, fun activities, and connection.
To create a space where everyone can contribute, we recommend limiting participant numbers to 25 to work with one facilitator, though we’re open to adding extra facilitators to accommodate larger groups. We also choose not to record workshops, as we’ve found this encourages participants to engage more freely and authentically.
