Not every organization thinks deeply about what makes a learning experience truly transformative—and that’s okay. Many come to us because they know they need training but aren’t sure how to design it in a way that actually changes behaviour, engages learners, and creates a lasting impact.
That’s where we come in.
We don’t create learning just for the sake of it. We partner with people who want to go beyond information delivery and create meaningful, engaging, and immersive learning experiences. That means asking deeper questions about what makes learning stick.
Here are some of the key questions we ask when designing a transformational learning experience:
- Purpose: Have we fully thought through why we’re creating this learning experience? What do we hope learners will take away from it? And most importantly, will a course (in any format) actually help achieve that goal?
- Audience: Have we carefully considered who the intended learners are and what they need? Are we designing relevant, meaningful experiences that connect to their real-world challenges? Are we connecting learners to each other so they can share knowledge
- Behaviour: Are we designing with the ultimate goal of changing learners’ behaviour, or are we falling into the trap of just simply ‘raising awareness’? Are we giving learners the tools, practice, and reinforcement needed to help them apply what they’ve learned?
- Emotion: How do we want learners to feel? Could we inspire them, increase their empathy, or even introduce an element of surprise? Could we build their confidence, spark curiosity, or foster excitement about what they’re learning?
- Immersion and Participation: Instead of having learners read about a situation, could we place them in it? Are we prioritizing active participation over passive consumption of content?
- Agency and Choice: Are we giving learners opportunities to make decisions and experience the consequences of those choices? Could we design branching scenarios, self-directed learning paths, or interactive explorations based on their interests?
- Worldbuilding: Have we intentionally designed every aspect of the learning environment—whether digital, virtual, or physical—to create a rich sensory experience? Have we considered how spaces, sights, sounds, and even smells shape how learners connect with the content?
- Reflection: Are we building in intentional opportunities for learners to reflect on what they’ve learned and connect it to their own experiences?
If these questions resonate with you—if you’re ready to move beyond click-through courses and one-and-done workshops, and instead create learning experiences that change how people think, feel, and act—we’d love to partner with you.
We work with organizations that care about learning that truly works—learning that engages, challenges, and inspires action. If that’s what you’re looking for, let’s talk.
