I’m looking for subcontractors who can support learning design and development projects on a sporadic, as-needed basis throughout the year, with immediate upcoming project-based needs.

Specifically I’m seeking:

• senior learning/instructional designers with a graduate degree in Education and solid practical experience in design for e-learning, virtual learning and in person learning
• junior learning/instructional designers with educational qualifications in Education at the certificate, bachelor’s or master’s level who would like to gain practical experience in learning design for in person and online modes
• graphic designers who have experience designing for PowerPoint and/or Articulate Storyline
• learning technologists/e-learning developers who have experience developing in Articulate Storyline, Moodle and/or other LMS platforms
• writers/communication professionals who have experience in e-learning storyboard writing

• One page cover letter (in the body of the email is fine)
• 2-3 page resume including educational qualifications, experience, and professional development you have undertaken related to the role you are expressing interest in
• Sample portfolio of your work (as is possible under your work/client confidentiality requirements)
• Per hour subcontracting fee expectations
• Whether or not you have your own business doing this work and/or already subcontract for another individual or organization who does similar work (and who that is)

Ideal candidates would live either in Greater Victoria or Greater Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, however submissions from other candidates in B.C. will be considered. (I may open up the geographical range further depending on initial interest, but will make that decision at a later date.)

General qualifications I’m looking for:

• Strong educational qualifications (formal and informal)
• Pride of work, excellent communication skills and commitment to turnaround times
• Creative thinkers, people who seek to always do better than the rest (especially when it comes to e-learning!)
• Strong tech skills in online environments, including collaboration tools such as Zoom, Slack and Trello
• Passion for all things related to designing and facilitating learning; high motivation to keep growing in the field (no matter how much experience you have).
