BCB Learning Inc. is seeking experienced subcontractors to support learning design and development projects on a sporadic, as-needed basis throughout the year. We have several roles available and are looking for skilled professionals who are passionate about creating engaging, inclusive learning experiences.
We are specifically seeking:
- Learning Technologists/Educational Developers with experience in Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Moodle, Brightspace, Thinkific, and/or other LMS platforms.
- Writers experienced in creating storyboards for online learning/e-learning, particularly in or for healthcare, nonprofit, or public sector organizations.
- Stylistic Editors/Copyeditors who have experience in editing learning-related courses and materials, particularly in or for healthcare, nonprofit, or public sector organizations.

- The role(s) for which you are expressing interest.
- A one-page cover letter (email format is fine).
- A 2-3 page résumé that outlines your educational qualifications, relevant experience, and professional development related to the role.
- A sample portfolio of your work (as is possible under any client confidentiality restrictions).
- Your website and social media profiles.
- Your per-hour subcontracting fee expectations for the role(s).
- Whether you subcontract for another company that does learning/instructional design work (and who that is).
Preferred Location: Individuals based in Greater Victoria, British Columbia, are preferred. However, expressions of interest from other areas in B.C. will also be considered. (The geographical range may expand depending on initial interest.) Individuals outside of British Columbia or Canada will not be considered.
General Qualifications:
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong educational background and relevant experience.
- Availability to meet and work during business hours (M-F).
- Commitment to deadlines and a strong work ethic.
- Creative thinkers with a drive for excellence.
- Strong technical skills in online environments, including collaboration tools such as Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, and Trello.
- A passion for designing and facilitating learning, with a commitment to continual growth and development.
- A deep commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA), and an active dedication to learning and improving in this area.
