We provide advice to organizations to help you make sound education-related decisions. This can involve carrying out research and analysis on your current programs and learning-related processes, interviewing staff and other stakeholders, and/or doing market, product or systems research. We focus on decisions related to pedagogy – how people teach and learn – and have applied that approach to a diverse range of projects. We also provide advice on educational technology, such as tools and platforms to support online learning or using technology to enhance in person learning.

RECENT EXAMPLE
Designing a New Member Orientation Experience


We were asked by the Vancouver Division of Family Practice to lead them through a process to envision what an effective member orientation experience could look like, based on their goals. The project was part of the Division’s strategic work to build and strengthen the connection between learning and learning design with member engagement, to support members and improve primary care in Vancouver. It drew upon work we had previously completed with the Division to create a learning framework for them. This framework is now in place to guide the integration of their learning philosophy through the planning, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of all learning-related initiatives for their members.

Needs Assessment


The Canadian Red Cross wanted to adapt an existing face-to-face program that they conduct in Canadian high schools into online learning. They hired us to conduct a needs assessment with their stakeholders and make recommendations on the ideal audience (teachers or students or both) and what online learning mode would be most effective and desired for their purposes. We carried out key informant interviews, surveyed high school teachers in three provinces and wrote a report of recommendations on next steps.
