Learn design and facilitation skills with us

We help people learn how to design and facilitate great learning experiences and meetings. When you learn with us, be prepared to be inspired, have fun, and leave with new ideas and more skills to be able to engage your groups.

This three-day in person workshop is a transformational experience; the best thing about it is that you actually get a chance to practice facilitation, you don’t just learn about it. Participants each facilitate three “mini-lessons” over the course of the three days and receive developmental feedback from the facilitator and fellow participants. This workshop includes theme sessions expanding on adult learning concepts from Beth’s book, Design to Engage. Download a one-page info sheet about this custom offering.

“Beth is very skilled at keeping us focused on the topic of the moment, and providing effective feedback to our mini lessons. Keeping us engaged over the course of three days must be a challenge, and I felt engaged the entire time.”

Liberating Structures are a set of 33 facilitation processes that anyone can use to make their meetings and learning events more inclusive, participatory, and fun. We use Liberating Structures in our own work and we also facilitate workshops in person and online that help others learn how to use them.

“Beth is an innovative and creative facilitator. She works hard to make her students feel comfortable and welcome. Participant comments included: ‘It was wonderful to work with Beth, she is a professional and dedicated individual.'”

– Patricia Larose, Program Coordinator, School of Business Continuing Education, Camosun College –

We design and offer custom workshops to organizations to help your staff or volunteers enhance their learning design and facilitation skills, for both in person and online environments. Reach out to us via the Contact page to discuss what a custom workshop could look like for your group.

“I have had the great pleasure of co-facilitating and co-creating learning opportunities with Beth, both online and face-to-face. She is a dream to work with: ever organized, passionate, creative and collaborative. In facilitation, Beth is timely, insightful and truly lets participants lead and share their expertise – an indicator of a highly skilled facilitator and educator. Beth uses her curiosity and passion for learning and listening in everything she does.”
