I often get asked how folks can learn more about facilitation, so I thought I’d do another post about it here.

I’ll start by saying generally that if you are interested in “facilitation” it would be good to decide whether you’re interested in facilitating learning (i.e. teaching a particular subject in a workshop/course) or facilitating process (i.e. facilitating meetings, such as strategic planning, decision-making, or other types of process-based meetings) – or both. I haven’t exactly split them out below because some methods – such as Liberating Structures – can be used in both types of facilitation but the last three bullet points on the list are specifically about about facilitating learning.

Ongoing Opportunities

I sometimes offer public workshops related to designing and facilitating learning (my Shop or newsletter are the best places to learn about these), but more often I create custom workshops for specific client groups. I also have worked with many people 1:1. I invite you to reach out to me to discuss the possibilities.

  • Design 101
  • Virtual Design
  • Virtual Facilitation

In this self-study version, participants learn independently by watching videos, reading articles and applying what they learn to their job. For additional support, they can book 1:1 coaching sessions with Hannah.
